Edit observations in Survey

Hi,
Is it possible to edit observations in SMART Survey?
If I go to the Survey overview I only see the Mission data including waypoint, coordinates, ID, sampling unit etc… But not the observations during the mission. I can view them in the query, but I can not edit.
I am doing a prey survey and found a mistake in nr of animals counted for one prey observation. Can I edit this in SMART Desktop?

Hi Elke,

Users with admin or manager level permissions should be able to modify observations. When you find the observations via queries are you able to right click and go to the source?

I found it!
It is very hidden. You only see the rows for your observation but then you have to double click on the relevant cell in the observation column. You get 3 dots at the end where you can click to edit. Is there a simpler way? Or will this be changed in the new version of Survey?

Hi Elke,

This is the only way to edit observations in existing surveys. It will be the same for patrols too. Each observation is associated with a specific waypoint on a specific day so we need to access that waypoint in the original data source (i.e. survey) if modifications are required.

This is also how you manually input observations should you not be using SMART Mobile (i.e. importing from GPS).

You can also make modifications in the SMART Mobile app before uploading data if you have this feature enabled and you disable the “automatically upload to connect”.
