Hi,
I’m having some difficulties using SMART Ecological Record compared to SMART Patrol.
And, I see that SMART Patrol has features that would be very interesting and also beneficial for SMART Ecological Record.
In fact, I have technically supported the wildlife inventory in a vast forest landscape in my country. During implementation, the teams did not use SMART Connect. And so data transfer was done manually, resulting in duplicate data in the same conservation area. These data are distinct from each other (e.g. mission 1 with a correctly cleaned trace and observations with errors; and mission 2 with observations perfectly verified but the trace is not correct).
To compensate for this, I had to create 2 polls to host this data: 1 poll for the mission with correct tracks and observations with errors; and another poll for the mission with correct observations and tracks with errors.
P.S: Unfortunately, I don’t have a JSON import file anymore, so I’ll have to do the import again, adding the new mission on top of the old one so that the 2 missions merge.
On reflection, I thought that theoretically, if SMART Ecological Record had the “Mission Merge function”, this problem would quickly be solved locally, and there would be no need to house duplicate missions.
With SMART Patrol, this function has already helped us solve a similar problem; it’s just a matter of time.
Also, to bring SMART Ecological Record up to the same level of advancement as SMART Patrol, we would like to have a function that allows observations to be corrected from the observation results interface.
Best regards,
