Hi Kelly,
Currently, as you probably noticed, we only have the option to resize images stored in other modules (see below) and not for Profiles.
I can add this as a ticket to be reviewed for development.
Cheers,
Alex
Thanks Alex for getting back to me, such a shame that they can’t cant be resized the same as the options listed.
If you could please add that as a ticket to be reviewd for development, that would be much appreciated, I really do think it is a usful tool to have.
Many Thanks,
Kelly
Hi,
I agree with the above, that would be a useful option in the image resize tool.
I also wanted to mentiona potential work around for the moment, just in case you were not aware. You can tell SMART to resize images upon import if they are coming from the SMART Mobile app. So it can’t help with existing images or other images you add manually on the desktop etc, but if you are continuing to collect images in SMART mobile then you can indicate a max size in the setting under: “Field Data”->“SMART Mobile”->“Mobile Devices Settings”. Then select the saved-settings you wish to edit (“Default” if you don’t use custom ones) then press “Edit” and look at the “Photos” tab.
Once you change those settings and save, you also need to export new “packages” to your SMART mobile devices to push those setting changes out to the devices being used. After that, any new images that come in from those devices should be resized down to the size you selected in your settings, automatically upon import.
Cheers,
Jeff
Hi Jeff,
Thanks so much for this, this is usful to know
Yes, it would be great to have the option to resize images in SMART profiles as well. Currently, a quick and easy solution for resizing images without losing quality is to use online tools like JPEG Compressor. It can resize images without compromising their quality and is simple to use, even in bulk if needed.
