As many of you know, we are planning for the first ever SMART Global Congress in Namibia next 11-14 March. We’ve already received an incredible response to our initial request for RSVPs last month.
In order to ensure we have a broadly representative cross-section of the global SMART community, we want to share the RSVP with the community one more time before we finalize the invitation list. Please review the information below and fill out the RSVP form.

Congress Dates: 10-14 March 2024
Location: Mercure Hotel, Windhoek, Namibia
About: The inaugural SMART Global Congress will be the first ever worldwide meeting for conservation practitioners using SMART, the most widely used protected area management solution in the world. Attendees will have the opportunity to showcase their work, participate in discussions and presentations on a range of conservation applications, receive training, and network with peers from more than 1,200 sites across over 100 countries.
Costs: To make this event as inclusive as possible for the entire global SMART community, the SMART Partnership will cover costs of congress attendance (3 congress days), meals, accommodation, and airport transfers from Windhoek’s Hosea Kutako International Airport for up to 250 participants. Participants will need to pay for their own international airfare to Windhoek.
