We are testing giving an AI agent read-only access to specific queries in SMART Connect.
Our preferred approach was to create a dedicated Connect user with permission to execute the relevant queries. However, after several attempts, the agent was unable to run the queries through the authenticated account, reporting an issue with executing the query.
As a workaround, we are using shareable query URLs, which work successfully. However, because anyone with the URL can access the data, this isn’t ideal from a security perspective.
Is there a recommended way to allow an agent or other automated service to execute specific SMART 8 Connect queries through an authenticated, restricted user account?
