Data date 3 days in the past, Phone date set to correct timezone

Hi There

A weird one, one of our field devices is capturing the date as three days ago, despite the device date and time being set correctly. This happened out of the blue on Monday, previously date and time were working fine. We tried a reboot of the phone, and this did not resolve the issue. Any ideas what could be happening with this? Is there some way to reset the device’s gps date and time?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Weird indeed.

Have you seen what happens when you use the option “use time from GPS”?

Do you see the same problem with other apps that use GPS to get the time? (e.g. GPSTest)

You can try resetting the device settings:

  • Go to Settings → Date & Time
  • Toggle OFF: Automatic date & time & Automatic time zone
  • Manually set correct date/time
  • Reboot
  • Turn automatic back ON
