Hello Zeveyda,
If you log into the SMART Connect website and go to the Conservation Areas page, are you able to download the ACs from there by clicking the download button next to them? I suspect that your Connect user doesn’t have the correct permissions to access and download those ACs. Could you let me know (sharing a screenshot would be best) which specific permissions are assigned to your Connect user?
Hello Zeveyda,
Based on that user’s Administrator permissions, I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t be able to download the CAs as long as the Connect settings are correct. Could you share the error log, in case that provides any insight into the error you’re receiving?
Hello Zeveyda,
I suspect it is an issue with connecting to Connect from your desktop rather than a permissions issue.
Can you try logging into the SMART Connect website, going to the Conservation Areas page, and downloading the CAs from there by clicking the download button next to them?
You should be able to do the same thing from the Connect browser through your SMART desktop. Log into a CA, then go to Connect > Open Connect Browser, and follow the same steps to download a CA from Connect.
Assuming you’re using the correct Connect username and password, I would guess it’s an issue with the URL being used, or you may need a certificate. On the first screen after choosing to download a CA from Connect to your desktop, your server URL should be formatted something like this. If your server uses a self-signed certificate, you may need to use the advanced options to enter it there.
Hello Zeveyda,
Did the CA finish downloading? The amount of time it takes to download depends on your connection speed and the size of the CA. If you have a good internet connection and the CA just isn’t downloading, it could be an issue with your connect server, and you can report a Connect related issue for SMART-hosted servers with this form.
