Are you using SMART Connect? This error often indicates that there is an issue with connectivity between your local database and your Connect server.
If so, you may want to export your local changes since last synchronizing, then go to Connect > Advanced Options > Replace CA with CA from Connect
You can then re-import any local changes and synchronize with the server.
Try running the report again after taking these steps.
