Hello,
One of my colleagues, is launching SMART 7.5.10 and got an error message.
The same messages appeared when launching any SMART 7 in his laptop. He has three copies and all have the same problem.
Is there anyone who can explain why this is happening and what can be the solution?
Thank you in advance.
Hi Angelo,
Could you please share your error log file? I would also recommend that you also download a fresh copy of SMART from the website. I have seen this error pop up when SMART can’t access a particular file from the installation folder, mostly caused by antivirus software on the laptop.

Dear James,
Thank you for replying to this! This is a screenshot of the log, but later I’ll send you the text file. It is in another computer.
Best wishes,
Angelo

Hi Angelo,
You can upload the file directly onto this thread or send it to me via email at jsimfukwe@smartconservationsoftware.org
I’ll be able to assist you then. At the moment, the snippets you have shared do not have enough information.
Regards,
James

Hi James,
Just to inform you that my team member having that had this problem had changed the Operating System into Windows 11 Profesionnal Edition and SMART 7.5.10 is now running well. It might be true that something like Antivirus might have blocked any functionnality of SMART. Or, it might be a security issue with Windows 11 Family/Student version. Anyway, thanks again for your help,
Angelo
