I have three Administrative Areas that I would like to convert into individual Conservation Areas for ease of sharing data. Is this possible? If so, what are the best practices for separating the data this way?
Good morning
I think the best way would be to have your “master CA” that you are basing the other off of.
Then when you choose Create New Conservation, you can choose the “Master CA” as a template and it should take all templates across, then just name that new one with the area’s name.
I hope that helps. If you have an admin user that exactly the same in all three, then you can admin watch them via the Cross-Conservation Area Analysis (CCAA) environment.,
Let me know if that helps

This idea is exactly what I was looking for. I am going to try implementing it now.
Do you have any ideas on how I can sort patrols based on the Administrative Areas in which they were conducted so that I can selectively delete patrols in the new CAs?
I would run those queries in the CCAA and create report and templates there for your reporting across the admin areas. Otherwise if you have a shape file with the areas in, apply it to one of the designated layers in Smart map and then you can create a query and filter based on location or admin area name to get query results
I am having an additional problem. When I create a new CA using existing template, the resulting CA is blank - no administrative areas, management areas, patrols, etc. What would cause this issue?
