Manual coordinates SMART Mobile

Hi,
We have had multiple issues over time with adding coordinates manually to SMART Mobile.
When entering the coordinates manually, SMART automatically changes the coordinates after saving them. The numbers just get changed, e.g. -12.9568 becomes -13.12364.

Previous times, it worked to download the most recent version of SMART Mobile. But at the moment that didn’t fix the bug. Is this something SMART is aware of and working on?

We rely on accurate coordinates and need to be able to enter coordinates manually. Hopefully this can get fixed.

The issue occured on multiple devices and different type of devices.

Hi Elke,

The entered co-ordinate ultimately gets projected to the required projection system. Could you say more about what projections you are using?

Could you also say if the final coordinate is at the proper location, even if the number was not as entered?

Assuming this is build 478?

Hi Justin,

Yes this is Mobile version 478.
We enter coordinates in decimal degrees on the tablets.
We use OSM WGS84 map in SMART and the Garmin GPSs/InReachs maps for coordinates.

Is there another way to set the projection system in SMART?

Could you please send me a bug report from one of the devices that reproduces this behavior so I can determine the configuration?

Hi Justin,
We experienced another tablet with this issues. I have a video showing how the coordinates change when manually entering. I can send via email.
And the bug report of the device.

I already re-installed SMART and made sure the device has the most recent version.
