Can we using Check for updates feature to upgrade SMART 7 to SMART 8 ?

Hi Lili,

No, for upgrades like this (7>8), you need to go through the full upgrade process.

If you’re using Connect, you need to install SMART 8, upgrade your server to version 8, and then download your CAs to SMART 8.

Alternatively, you need to complete a full system back up in your existing SMART (v7), install SMART 8 and use the “advanced” option to upgrade and/or restore back up.

I’m facing a challenge of upgrading from SMART 7.5.6 to SMART 8.1.2 and it gives that error on the picture. What could be the cause of this error and how can I fix it?

Could you please share the error log? Login using smart smart then get the error log and share so we can troubleshoot.
