SMART Collect error

Hi,
We are experiencing issues with sharing the SMART Collect packages with partners.
They can open the link or QR code, but they are asked to log in with a username. While the purpose of SMART Collect is to send a package to a partner to collect data, without having to log into our CA.

Can someone assist?

I have set the packages on “private” since I only want certain partners to collect data for us. The information says that anyone with the link can access the model. It doesn’t mention anything about a user account.

The strange thing is that partners can open some Collect packages, but others not. The package have exactly the same settings.

I changed the settings of the Collect package to “public” to see what would happen, but partners still can access the package. It asks again for an account.
The public package also doesn’t show up under “zambia” in SMART Collect.

Are there other organisations that use Collect? Do you experience the same?

Can someone from the SMART team assist?
Kind regards,
Elke

Hi Elke,

Sorry for the delay. Please confirm which version of SMART 7 this is happening on? The behaviour of Collect was updated in 7.5.9/10

The “anyone-with-the-link” behaviour was improved in SMART Connect 7.5.9 / 7.5.10, which added a server setting for anonymous access to SMART Collect. If you upgrade to one of those versions, Public packages can be opened directly without a login.

Thanks

Alex

Hi @Alex_Wyatt ,
This is happening in 8. Connect 8.1.0

Kind regards,
Elke

Thanks, Elke.

Looks like this is a known issue with SMART 8 and is being looked into.
