After making edits on the data model and conservation area, I tried to update all my rangers and monitoring teams’ devices. When I try to load SMART packages it just says no package under local packages for all the packages I have. The packages also do not upload on smart connect and I only have the old packages from last time I made edits up on SMART connect. Any suggestions as to how to make the local packages load would be hugely appreciated- I have tried everything I can think of. Thanks
Hi Naomi,
The “Local package date” only gets updated when you export the package to “Device” via cable. As for the changes, did you first delete the already existing package from SMART Connect? Were these changes made to the configurable model or the Data model?
I would advise going about it this way:
- Make sure you delete the current package from Connect.
- Normally the data model/configurable model updates the packages automatically when modified, so once you are done with step 1, reupload your package to SMART Connect. Make sure your internet connection is working.
- Ensure that the packages/projects are deleted from the mobile devices before you download them again, otherwise you will have packages with the same name and the field team is likely to select the outdated one.
If you still have the same issue after verifying and trying the above, and SMART returns an error, please respond here with the error log so we can assist you.

Hi Makori,
There seems to be something wrong with your configurable model. Are you able to share with me through my email (jsimfukwe@smartconservationsoftware.org), your CA? You can export the CA by navigating to “File” → “Export Conservation area”.
ok, Its Sent.
Thank you
