Subject: Issue with offline map display in SMART Mobile v1.0.556

Hi all,

I have a technical question regarding the offline map functionality in the SMART Mobile application (version 1.0.556).

When I try to open the “Map” section while not connected to the internet, the map does not display. I’ve confirmed that the map is properly loaded under the “Offline Maps” section and appears in the list. However, it only becomes visible when the device is connected to the internet.

What I need is for the map to display fully in offline mode, since internet connectivity is not always available in the field.

Could you please let me know if there’s an additional configuration required, or if this might be a bug in the application?

Hi Maria,

That is the intended function for offline maps. It should not require an internet connection.

This is being looked into at the moment. In the meantine, change the base map layer to “None” using the button in the bottom left corner (i.e. deselect all online maps) and then select only your offline map. Please let us know if this resolve the issue.

We believe this issue is resolved in the latest version of the software - now available from the Play store. Please upgrade and let us know if you have any further issues here.
