We would like to formally introduce to the SMART Community Dr. Cleo Graf, our new Executive Director for the SMART Partership. With over 20 years of conservation experience across Africa, Dr. Graf is an experienced leader in biodiversity conservation, community engagement, and wildlife crime prevention.
Holding a Ph.D. in Ecology, Dr. Graf has been at the forefront of conservation technology since 2016, implementing and promoting the use of SMART and other tools to protect wildlife and manage conservation areas. Her work at the Southern African Wildlife College, where she led a wide range of initiatives and strengthened capacity-building efforts, has earned her recognition in conservation leadership.
As Director, Dr. Graf will lead us in expanding SMART’s global reach, with her expertise in strategic planning, project management, and stakeholder engagement paving the way for a brighter future for wildlife conservation.
