Alerts are not coming into Connect

Hi,
Does anyone have experience with the alerts functionality in SMART? I have set up some test alerts in the packages in Desktop. Then exported data via SMART Mobile that should trigger those alerts. But when checking the alerts page on Connect, there are no alerts coming in. The data has come into the processing queue, so the data is uploaded.

Any thoughts? Am I missing something?

Hi Elke,

Could you confirm whether you are sending data immediately or only by pressing the Upload button at the end?

I recall that alerts need you to be sending the data immediately.

We send our data from SMART Mobile by clicking the export button upload button. Then it gets automatically processed in SMART 8.

I have done a couple of test and checked Connect after exporting the data from SMART Mobile. But no alerts came in.

Hi Elke,

This may be related to the setting in the Connect tab of the SMART Mobile package “automatically upload data to Connect”. If this is not checked, alerts won’t send.

Currently, though, if you have this selected you won’t be able to edit observations after they’ve been created.

So we have to chose between editing observations or using alert functionality. Will that become both available in the future?
